BISHOP’S EMBLEM AND ITS MEANING

Moto: “Feed My Sheep” (Jn. 21:17)

The Moto Expresses the shephereding role of the bishop toall the faithful of the Hazaribag Diocese with love and care and guide them on the path which leads to God the Father.

Interpretation:

The hill and muntains, rivers and brooks, trees and herbs symbolize Jharkhand State Hazaribag Diocese. It is blessed with natural beauty and mineral resources. All these are the sign of infinit love and blessings of the creator for the people of this area. All these are to be guided, governed and protected by the Holy Spirit who is shown descending upon the creation.

Dhori Mata:

Dhori Mata is the patroness of the Diocese by whose intecerssion the prayer of the people of every cast and creed living in this area, reach to God the Father and the blessings and fevour come from His through Mather Mary.

Holy Cross:

The Holy cross is the symbol of the libration of human beings and the Holy Education is the centre of spiritual and whole human life through which the life developes and reaches its fullness. Flowing water of the river is shown touching these two lives giving symbols. On both side of the river bank trees, herbs and creepers that continually grow, flower and give fruits. The true meaning of the human life depends upon the commemoration of these events of redemption through their powerful symbols.

The Holy Bible:

The Holy Bible is the treasure-house of the divine knowledge which is necessary for spiritual and the human life. The person who reads, contemplates upon it and lives accordingly, his/her life becomes like a burning lamp.

Two hands Folded:

Two hands folded symbolizes the true union with divine and with each other among the human beings. This is the holy will of God.

The Sheep:

The sheep are the chosen people of God of Hazaribag diocese. sphered is the Lord Himself and his appointed one Rt. Rev. Anand Jojo Bishop of Hazaribag who has the responsibility of pasturing the people of God in this Diocese.

The People with Hands Raised Upward:

The People with Hands Raised Upward Symbolizes the people of this Diocese whose duty is to adore and praise God the Father because He is their creator and source of life.
